January 17, 2007 ...The Warriors and Pacers made an eight player deal today. I do not feel very strongly about the deal but I give the Pacers the edge on it. The G-S-Dub gets some toughness in Al Harrington - a turnover prone small forward along with the shot jacking Stephen Jackson. Sarunas Jasikevicius is a quality backup point guard, and Josh Powell is a throw-in that should be in the D-League. In return the W’s sent the versatile Mike Dunleavy Jr. away from the high expectations of the Bay Area to the home of the 500. Promising NBA sophomore Ike Diogu and the rebounding forward Troy Murphy were also in it with Keith McLeod.  Indiana added skill and finesse in the deal and they got rid of Jackson who has had his share of off court issues.

January 16th, 2007 ...I watched a sick game on TV tonight between Texas and Oklahoma State. The Cowboys won in triple OT on a Mario Boggan three. Boggan is like the size of Reggie Evans but he can pass and he scores somehow. The 6’7” forward was ridiculous tonight with 37 points and 20 rebounds. Kevin Durant led Texas with 37 points. Durant is presently listed #2 on my draft board behind Greg Oden. ...The Kings have lost six straight and are now 14-21. ...Justin Williams’ efficiency for his ten minutes played in the loss to New York was .800.  ...Chris Webber landed in his hometown of Detroit after being waived, and bought out by Philadelphia. Flip Saunders is trippin’ if he thinks C-Webb can play Center. Chris can rebound but his lateral movement is awful and he is not a shot blocker. Nazr Mohammed is efficient but seems to be in the Flipster’s doghouse. ...I am a fan of Dominic James  - the point guard for Marquette.  ...While I was away on racing duties in frigid Tulsa, OK - Virginia Tech beat North Carolina. Kudos to their coach Seth Greenberg who already beat Duke this season. ...I was happy for Eddie Murphy who won a Golden Globe award.
