BasslineSpin.com November 26, 2006 The latest efficiency ratings show
some interesting numbers. Some players are struggling. Others are thriving.
Here are the ballers balling at an All-Star clip… West: Guards: Steve Nash
.650, Kevin Martin .636, Baron Davis .599, Chris Paul .596. Forwards… Carlos
Boozer .849, Kevin Garnett .786, Dirk Nowitzki .776, Tim Duncan .729, Zach
Randolph .701, Carmelo Anthony .695. Centers… Yao Ming .765, Marcus Camby
.686. ...East: Guards… Dwyane Wade .629, Jason Kidd .591, Vince Carter .577,
Gilbert Arenas .568. Forwards: David Lee .743, Lebron James .682, Dwight
Howard .662, Chris Bosh .628, Drew Gooden .591, Rasheed Wallace .582.
Centers… Emeka Okafor .688, Jermaine O’Neal .623. ...We’ve been watching
college hoops on the tube, and taking in the Kings homes games at ARCO. Last
night, the Kings spanked Portland. Kevin Martin has a 40 point game coming
soon. The Western Carolina product has the second highest efficiency rating
among all guards in the NBA. He trails only Steve Nash (through Friday’s
games). ...Among those struggling is Gary Payton with a .236 EFR. Payton was
once among the efficiency leaders at his position. To make matters worse in
Miami, Antoine Walker is rolling at a .231 EFR so far. No wonder the Heat are
off to a slow start. ...Keyon Dooling continues to get minutes even though
his EFR is always low. At present he is .282.
...Don’t believe the hype yet on Adam Morrison. Morrison—so far in his
rookie season has an EFR of .234. ...Stephon Marbury has a low .294 EFR.
Anthony Parker in Toronto isn’t much better at .295. Desmond Mason’s shooting woes are the
biggest reason for his horrid .233 EFR. Smush Parker is on the ‘stink-list’
too at .237 EFR. ...Hedo Turkoglu’s EFR is .243. ...Martell Webster does
nothing if he isn’t scoring. His EFR is .263. ...The triumphed rookie Rudy
Gay is at .278 EFR, Stephen Jackson is .270, Charlie Bell .287, and DeShawn
Stevenson is low as usual at .297. |
