Las Vegas Summer League 2008 Awards

 

MVP: Elton Brown  Denver. …Averaged a double-double (13 ppg, 10 rpg). Shot 58% FG. Nuggets went 4-1.

 

First Team All Las Vegas Summer League:

 

PG: C.J. Watson – Golden State. Led the W’s to a 4-1 record averaging 18.8 points per game with nearly five assists per game to boot.

SG: Jerryd Bayliss – Portland. Led the league in scoring at 29.8 ppg. Got to the line at will – shooting 61 free throws in four games.

SF:  Charles Rhodes – Dallas. Abused defenders with his power mid-range game. Averaged 10.8 ppg, and 6 rpg while shooting 64% FG.     

PF: Kevin Love – Minnesota. Posted the highest efficiency rating of the summer league at .826. Led the league in rebounding at 13.5 per game.  

C:  Andray Blatche – Washington.  Averaged 17.6 ppg, and 6.8 rpg.   

 

Second Team All Las Vegas Summer League:

 

PG: Ramon Sessions – Milwaukee – Led the league in assists at 7.3 per game. His team went 4-1.

SG: Alando Tucker – Phoenix – Averaged 21.6 ppg. Shot the ball great at 57%FG, and 80% FT.

SF: Marcus Williams – L.A. Clippers – Averaged 11 ppg & 6.4 rpg while getting to the line 31 times. He made 90%FT.

PF: Shelden Williams – Sacramento. 14 ppg, and 8.8 rpg. 57% FG.  

C:  Marresse Speights – Philadelphia. Scored 18 points per game, while snatching ten boards per.
