Las Vegas Summer League 2009 Awards

 

MVP: Joey Dorsey  Houston. …The Rockets went 5-0 and Dorsey was their best player; posting averages of 10 points & 14 rebounds on 62%FG shooting.

 

First Team All Las Vegas Summer League:

 

PG: Marcus Williams – Memphis. He put up 13 points, while dishing out a league best eight assists per game – leading the Grizz to a 5-0 record.

SG: Quincy Douby – Toronto. Douby averaged 18 points, four boards, and four assists. …Posted highest SG EFR (.613). Raptors were 3-2.

SF:  Chase Budinger – Houston. The Rockets were 5-0 thanks in large part to Budinger’s 18 ppg on 68% FG shooting.     

PF: Anthony Randolph  Golden St. …Posted the highest EFR of the league (.916) while scoring 28 ppg with 8.5 boards and three blocks per game to boot. GSW: 4-1.

C:  JaVale McGee – Washington.  Led the league in blocked shots at four per game! …Also scored 17 ppg with six rebounds per game. … Wizards were 3-2.

 

Second Team All Las Vegas Summer League:

 

PG: Ty Lawson – Denver – Missed shots in first two games but rebounded with stellar performances to push Denver to 4-1. …Averaged 17 ppg (45% FG), 4 rpg, 4 apg.

SG: Anthony Morrow  Golden St. – Broke the single game LVSL scoring record with 47 points. …Second best SG EFR at .589.

SF: DeMarre Carroll – Memphis – Hustled his butt off to help Memphis to a 5-0 record. ...Scored 12 ppg on 58% FG, while snatching five boards per game.

PF: David Monds – Lakers. Monds did everything asked of him – averaging 14 ppg, and five rpg. …Shot 60% FG.  Lakers were 3-2.

C:  Robin Lopez – Suns. The Suns went 3-2 and Lopez held it down with two blocked shots per game to compliment 12 points, and seven boards per.
