Big man from Sao Paulo Brazil is a huge post player on offense with great strength. He gets wide, and clears space, setting excellent path-clearing screens. He also seals his man effectively, using his wide base to be in good offensive position. He has decent quickness for such a huge body. His right handed hook is nice. ...Good passer, skilled enough to execute behind the back passes. Good balance allows him to catch, turn and score. Not a great shot blocker. He is a proficient college three point shooter. Works hard. Hits the weights in Summer '03 - gaining strength on a sizable frame. ...He has a way to go on defense. 72% free throw shooter. Excellent speed. ...Slow to get his hands up defensively.
We figure he will go 14th or so. We think he might be slightly better than that.
