Baldwin, Wade  Vanderbilt  6'4" 202 PG soph. Baldwin is a smooth, skilled guard that averaged 14.1 points, 4 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game as a sophomore in 2015-16. He checks lots of boxes when you are looking for a pro point guard. He has the athletic ability (38" max. vert.), and the shooting touch (42% career 3-pt.). ...His decision making (1.89-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio) is right on the borderline for a PG. Baldwin looks to pass, almost to a fault. He takes risks with passes. Defensively, Baldwin's DEFRTG was slightly worse than the Vanderbilt team DEFRTG. Baldwin does have the tools to be a good defender. He has a freakish 6'11.25" wingspan. Most point guards simply don't come close to that. As an example, others with a 6'11.25" wingspan in the NBA are: Kevin Love, Blake Griffin, and Tyreke Evans. I don't know if Baldwin is ever an All-Star in the NBA but I do think, in time, he will be a starter.

In 2011 the 10th pick in the NBA Draft was Jimmer Fredette. We advised, "draft Kawhi Leonard."
