Barber, Anthony "Cat" N.C. State  6'3" 173 PG jr. Barber is a speedy point guard that really needs to be better on the other end. Defense appears to an afterthought to Cat. That stated, Barber can really get it done on the offensive side of the ball. He averaged 23.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game as a junior. The 23.5 points was good enough to lead the ACC, and it was sixth in the nation. Barber is terrific at getting into the paint. He also led the ACC in free throws made and free throws attempted. He hit an excellent 86% of his foul shots. From deep, Barber nailed 36% 3-pt. in 2015-16. His 1.73-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio is about as low as you can go and still call yourself a point guard. So, in no way is Barber a pure PG. He wants to score! ...Cat is a well conditioned athlete. He can play big minutes without any problem. ...His defensive rating of 112.9 is laughable. Significantly worse than the NC State team DEFRTG, Barber MUST improve on D to be taken seriously as a guy who can get NBA minutes.
