Providence  6'8"  230 SF soph. Bentil's improvement in the last year was pretty remarkable. He is a powerful athlete that will be among the elite specimens in the NBA. In 2015-16 Bentil, a sophomore, raised his scoring average to 21.1 points per game (up from a mere 6.2 ppg as a freshman). Bentil pulled down 7.7 rebounds per game this season past. ...While Bentil shot just .329 from beyond the college arc, we think that his 78% FT is a better indicator of his shooting touch. His shot selection can border on what some would call a 'black hole'. Indeed, Bentil had more turnovers than assists. He does a good job of getting to the free throw line. He led the Big East in FT attempts in 2015-16. Bentil's max. vert is just 33" and his 3/4 court sprint time of 3.30 is pretty average (same as Jordan Hamilton, and a hundredth of a second faster than Jimmy Butler), showing that he is more about power than running and jumping ability. ...Bentil has upside. His aggressive nature will serve him well in the NBA. Most seem to peg Bentil as an early second round pick. We think he's a first rounder.

In 2011 the 17th pick in the NBA Draft was Kevin Seraphin. We advised, "draft Hassan Whiteside."
