Carter, Robert  Maryland  6'9" 251 PF jr. While not spectacular in any way, Robert Carter is one of those quietly effective players that can get a team buckets. He averaged 12.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game in 2015-16. Carter started his career at Georgia Tech, where he played for two seasons. He then sat out a year, and played last season at Maryland. He does have some floor-stretching ability although he shot just 33% from beyond the college arc. He made 74% of his foul shots last season which is an improvement over his college career numbers of 68%. ...Carter had more turnovers than assists in each season, amplifying the fact that he is mostly about scoring. Defensively, Carter is solid. his DEFRTG was better than the Maryland team DEFRTG. ...Carter could be in better shape. He always looks soft around the edges. His lack of leaping ability (30.5" max. vert.) should be noted. ...Carter is a consensus mid-to-late second round pick. I think that is fair.
