Chriss, Marquese Washington 6'10" 233 PF frosh. Chriss has the kind of athletic gifts that any pro forward would dream of. He is strong, explosive, and blessed with fantastic hand-eye coordination. He was very good as a freshman at Washington in 2015-16 but every once in a while you could catch a glimpse of something special. He made some plays that were truly jaw-dropping. Chriss averaged 13.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.6 blocked shots per game. He is a top-tier athlete with freakish explosiveness that can erase shots. He shot a respectable 35% from three-point range, and he hit 68.5% of his foul shots. ...Chriss is not a finished product. He fouls too often. He had more turnovers than assists by a wide margin. His defensive rating was worse than the Washington team DEFRTG (but not by much). ...A pick of Marquese Chriss is a pick for the future. He has as much upside as any player in the 2016 NBA Draft. He can score, rebound, and block shots. He has elite athleticism. That combination usually wins in the NBA.

In 2009, the 5th pick in the NBA Draft was Ricky Rubio. We advised, "Draft Stephen Curry."
