Clemente, Denis Kansas St. 6'1" 180 PG SR. Denis (pronounced "Denny") Clemente improved as he matured at K-State. He improved his assist-to-turnover ratio as a Senior to better than two-to-one. His efficiency overall is not good at .328 (career). He has deep range on his shot and he must be respected as a three point threat. He competes. ...Right-handed. ...Owns a nice floater that is set up by his ball-handling and quickness. He also seems to have supreme confidence which leads to him taking some bad shots. He doesn't get to the free throw line or help on the boards enough for my taste in PGs. He will throw a difficult pass. Occasionally he throws that perfect 'thread the needle' pass that leads to a dunk. His "flash" is easy to fall in love with. ...From Puerto Rico. ...Started his career at Miami before transferring to Kansas State. ...He famously scored 44 points in a huge win AT Texas! (01/31/09). ...My final evaluation is that Clemente is right on the border for being an NBA player. I like his grit. I like that he matured. I like his shooting range and tremendous ball-handling ability.

Where do I expect Clemente to be taken? He most likely will not be drafted.

Our best advice: In 2003 - James Singleton went undrafted. We had him as the 33rd pick in `03.

Our worst advice: In 2003 - We had Troy Bell listed 12th. Bell was taken 16th by Boston. He is now in the Italian League.
