Why so high on Austin Daye? A couple reasons: He can shoot, and he can rebound. He was under-utilized at Gonzaga in my opinion. His Point Guard was the gunning Jeremy Pargo who just did not look to set him up very often. Daye has broad shoulders and I believe he will fill out his big frame. Guys with his skill set combined with size just don't come around that often.

Austin Daye

Gonzaga 6'10" 190 SF Soph. Daye is an outstanding shooter with great size and skill. Very smooth which leads to a false label of being "soft". …Daye is the son of former UCLA standout Darren Daye. …Austin is long for a guy that can play on the perimeter. He is a nightmare match up for opposing THREEs. He disrupts their shot - often blocking jump shot attempts by shorter forwards. ...Offensively - he is an accurate shooter with career numbers to back it up: 48% FG, 80% FT, 41% 3pt. ...Still waiting for him to 'breakout'- as his numbers are not much more than 'solid' at this point. He averaged 13 points, seven boards, and two blocked shots this year.
