Diallo, Cheick Kansas 6'9" 219 PF frosh. Diallo played only 202 minutes as a Jayhawk freshman. In a small sample size he was efficient but it is hard to put much stock in such little playing opportunities. However, Diallo was brilliant in the NBA Draft Combine scrimmages, easing the anxiety of wondering if he is the real deal. He jumps very quickly and he can and will use either hand around the basket. …In all the minutes we can dig up for him, he is a 62.9% free throw shooter. He doesn’t stretch the floor at all (zero three point attempts). At Kansas, he had exactly one assist and 17 turnovers. ...Diallo has a standing reach of 8'11.5" (same as Robert Sacre and Mitch McGary). Diallo has a 35" max. vert. (same as Dwight Powell). Diallo has good speed. He posted a 3.26 3/4 court sprint time (same as R.J. Hunter and Solomon Hill). Diallo was named MVP of both the McDonald's All-America game and the Jordan Brand Classic game in 2015. Diallo is from Mali. ...Most draft sites have Diallo being selected late in the first round. I think he should be selected before that. He has upside and unteachable gifts that should make him a top-tier starter in the NBA in time.
