Ellis, Perry  Kansas  6'8" 218 SF SR. Ellis is a four-year Senior forward with athletic ability. He played power forward at Kansas. Ellis averaged 16.9 points, and 5.8 rebounds per game in 2015-16. …Ellis will likely be asked to play some small forward in the NBA. His Draft Combine numbers suggest has can guard opposing small forwards. He tested as a very athletic player with a 38" max. vert. and his 3.13 3/4-court sprint time was second only to guard Michael Gbinije. So don't let the receding hairline fool you. Perry Ellis is an athlete. His defensive rating however was considerably worse than the Kansas team DEFRTG. ...Ellis shot a brilliant 43% from beyond the college arc. He didn't shoot a big volume of threes (64 attempts in 38 games) but the ability to hit the shot was evident. Ellis hit 78% of his free throws last season. Ellis did have more turnovers than assists but not by a huge margin. The consensus has Ellis not being drafted. We think he deserves a look.
