NBA Draft Scouting 2002

56. Dan Gadzuric

UCLA 6'11" 248 PF, C - SR.

Foul prone, and seemingly injury prone too. A dunking force inside, Gadzuric is an outstanding rebounder that could be GREAT. He can dominate at times with his strength and mobility. He shot 55% from the field. He runs the floor extremely well, with GREAT speed. He will outrun most men his size, and he WILL FINISH. ...Has an uncanny skill for tip-ins around the hoop. The drawback with big Dan is his stone throws outside of 5 feet, and his lack of finesse. Constantly in foul trouble. ...He shot 47% from the free throw line as a UCLA Senior. Balance appears to be the issue. Gadzuric looks like he is off-balance for many of shots from the field. ...He defends the post well when he keeps his feet. ...Offensively, in the post, he is a bit mechanical, but still able to score. Finished his four-year career as the No. 2 shot-blocker in school history (184). He is already 26 years old.
