George, Paul Fresno St. 6'9" 214 SF Soph. George is a right-handed 20 year old from Southern California that played at Fresno State. He loves to shoot the three point shot and he does have a nice shooting touch with deep range. He is athletic enough, and strong enough to be an NBA player. …George does several things well and excels as a shooter and rebounder for his position (Small Forward). His shot starts from a low release point but he manages to get it off. He will dunk in traffic.  He seems to see the floor well but at the end of the day he had more turnovers than assists in two seasons at Fresno State. ...I think his left hand could be better. Defensively - he gambles but he also has good anticipation. He gets steals often. This season his team was only 15-18 overall and 7-9 in the WAC. I'm thinking if Paul George was really that good - the team should have won more games. Some scouts see George as a lottery pick. I think late first round is more realistic. ...He has some "junk in his game" - but the potential to strip that away and wind up with a jewel is there.

Where do I expect George to be taken? Somewhere around 18th.

Our best advice: In 2001 - the 18th pick was Jason Collins. We said - "take Zach Randolph ".

Our worst advice: In 1999 - the 18th pick was James Posey. We said - "take Evan Eschmeyer ".
