NBA Draft Scouting 2002

46. Anthony Grundy

NC State 6'2" 167 PG, SG - SR.

Skinny, active, and athletic, with long, long arms. Runs the floor well, very athletic. Covers a lot of ground. Drives the ball to the hoop with determination. Better penetrator / playmaker than outside shooter. His shot is awkward - way over his head. ...He shoots well on the move. Great body control. More of a slasher. As a SR. he led NC State in scoring, rebounding, and assists. He's a hustler, and was the vocal leader of NC State. 49% FG, 77% FT, 35% 3 point shooter. ...He has a post game, and his length allows him to score on the block with a shorter defender. ...Take a second look at this kid. His length is great. Long arms. Standing reach is same as Tito Maddox. He has heart, he's fundamentally good, and he works on defense. ...Numbers in college were rock solid.
