NBA Draft Scouting 2002

30. Marcus Haislip

Tennessee 6'10 230 PF, SF Jr. Early entrant. Haislip can rise! He posesses 36.5" verticle. He has long arms making him a threat defensively. Blocked 44 shots last season. Offensively, he is trying to develop a perimeter game at this stage. More of a rebounder, slasher right now. As a Jr. at Tenn., he averaged 16.7 ppg, and 7 reb. 33% from the college arc, 72 % FT, 52% FG. Still pretty raw, but his he is an athlete with decent touch, hops, and long arms. Very hard to ignore the potential.
