Jackson, Demetrius  Notre Dame 6'1" 195 PG jr. Jackson is a point guard that has upside due to his amazing athleticism. He tested with a 43.5" max. vert. at the 2016 NBA Draft Combine. …Jackson averaged 15.8 points, and 4.7 assists per game in 2015-16 as the quarterback of the Notre Dame team. He shot just .331 from beyond the college arc which is more a symptom of his poor shot selection than an indictment on his touch. At the free throw line he hit 81%. Despite having the tools to be a good defender, Jackson simply is not (yet). His defensive rating of 109.4 (career) is worrisome (and worse than the Notre Dame team DEFRTG). ...Jackson is currently pegged as a consensus mid first round pick. I am not as high on him as others. The landscape of NBA point guards is deep with talent. I view Jackson as a mid-tier backup in the NBA which is fine if he is a second round pick. But as a first rounder I think he may disappoint.

In 2012 the 41st pick in the NBA Draft was Tyshawn Taylor. We advised, "draft Will Barton."
