NBA Draft Scouting 2002

37. Jason Jennings

Arkansas St. 7'0" 250 C - SR.

Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year as a senior after playing two years at the University of Arkansas. ...Can change a game defensively. Had five games this past season with 5 blocks. ...Averaged 3.4 blocks per game last season. Shot Blocker. Really not a great rebounder. Better defensive than offensive. ...Jennings has a nice touch. 79% free throw shooter, also shot 57% from the field. He knows what he is. ...He needs to take better care of the ball. ...Almost two turnovers for every assist. Bonus is that he has exceptionally long rams. His wingspan is 7'7", bigger than Yao Ming by 2 inches.
