Korkmaz, Furkan Turkey 6'8" 185 SF 7/24/1997 Korkmaz is an 18 year-old early entrant that is trying to capitalize on being such a young prospect playing in arguably the toughest league in the world outside of the NBA. Korkmaz plays in the Turkish BSL. In 600-plus minutes this season he averaged four points and one rebound. His three point shooting is excellent, and he can excite with his dunking ability and court-vision. He is a fluid athlete. He hit 39% 3-pt. in 2015-16. He owns a positive assist-to-turnover ratio. ...Defensively, Korkmaz is slight. His skinny frame allows him to be bullied. His DEFRTG was worse than his team DEFRTG in 2015-16.  If all you did was watch his highlights - you might think Korkmaz is a lottery talent. However, Korkmaz is terribly inefficient. Perhaps he will improve as his body matures but he presently doesn't get to the rim enough and his overall efficiency just isn't acceptable to take on the risk of drafting him in the first round. ...Korkmaz will be able to come to the NBA immediately. He has a two million dollar buyout. I would advise all NBA teams to REALLY think about the reality of when Korkmaz can actually HELP your team win. Let someone else assume the time, resources, and risk associated with drafting a project.
