March 12, 2007 Considerable time was put in to give you 76 players worth watching in the NCAA Tournament. Read it here.

March 7, 2007 ...The Kings beat Indiana last night at ARCO Arena. The game was good for Kevin Martin again. He is really understanding how good he can be. ...Francisco Garcia was also a key on the defensive end. He competes and encourages his teammates. He has to be a coaches dream.  ...Troy Murphy looked sharp for Indy. He was making plays from the high-post—beating Brad Miller off the dribble for scores or dishes. Corliss Williamson came into the game and did a better job keeping Murphy out of the paint. The Pacers, in my opinion, do not use Jermaine O’Neal enough offensively. ...How many players on various teams at all levels quit thinking championships when the season changes to Spring? If you are a pro and the money is coming in regardless - why not be done with your work and enjoy vacation as soon as possible? How about a college kid who is the 10th or eleventh man on a NCAA Tourney or even worse a NIT team? The sooner you are eliminated the sooner you get to quit being around that jerk of a coach that never lets you play but still runs your ass at practice. ...If the NBA season ended today it would be Memphis with the worst record and the most ping pong balls in the lottery hopper. Boston would be second followed by Charlotte, Milwaukee, Philly, Portland, Seattle, Atlanta,  Minnesota, and then Sacramento (tenth).  …NBADraft.net has seriously overrated Hasheem Thabeet (U-Conn.), Spencer Hawes (Washington), and Nick Young (USC). They have all of them as lottery picks. Thabeet is 88th on my ‘big board’ - which now has 413 players. Young is 113th, and Hawes is a respectable 29th.

March 6, 2007 ...Pat Riley—I like you and respect you but Dwyane Wade is NOT a “warrior” or a “soldier”. Let’s leave those words for those serving in the military. Okay? ...Congrats to Kevin Martin on being named NBA Player of the Week. ... Boomer Herndon from Belmont is a small school ‘big’ you should know. ...Baron Davis returned for Golden State and they promptly spanked Detroit in Auburn Hills, MI.

March 4, 2007 ...How quickly things can change. Two road wins have the Kings looking like they could be the eighth best team in the West. Kevin Martin is playing with better energy. Mike Bibby’s shot is falling. Eric Musselman is giving the guys more freedom to run. Granted—the Lakers, and Blazers both stunk it up but the Kings offense was much better. At heart I am a Kings fan—and I want to see them do well. I am critical of Sacramento sometimes because I want the best for them. ...College hoops day was on overload-a-vision. Georgetown in the morning. UCLA at Washington after that. Ohio State at Michigan, followed by USC at Washington State which was a double OT game.  I watched the Kings beat the Blazers to cap off the night. ...Mike Conley Jr. - the point guard for Ohio State - is the son of former USA Track & Field athlete Mike Conley. The kid plays under control and not surprisingly he has great speed. ...At this point - both wifey and I agree we would take Kevin Durant over Greg Oden in the NBA draft.  I’m still not sure if people appreciate how good a shooter Durant is. We both like Oden - just not as much as Durant. ...Michigan’s Dion Harris can get any shot he wants but he isn’t efficient. ...I am not nearly as high on the Hoyas’ Roy Hibbert as the rest of the world is.
