So who is Ricky Minard? Why can he be ranked this highly? Minard is the classic case of the small town player that was overlooked. ...Minard somehow slipped to Morehead Kentucky and coach Kyle Macy. A rare scorer that also has more assists than turnovers, Minard was Player of the Year in the Ohio Valley Conference as a Junior. He is a shooting guard that I think can also play some spot Point. He can shoot, rebound and pass. He is enthusiastic, and understands his team's offense well. Shows leadership skills. He works hard defensively, and moves his feet very quickly. In my opinion, Minard will need to improve his ball-handling. Ala, Mitch Richmond, a fine guard, Minard is prone to dribble the ball off his own leg. He shoot free throws well.
