Orton, Daniel Kentucky 6'10" 269 C, PF  Frosh. I'm not sold on Daniel Orton yet but I am hearing nothing but good things about him. I did immediately note upon seeing him for the first time that he looked like an NBA player. But a further look into the small sample size of work he did at UK reveals that Orton is most likely not ready to impact an NBA game. He struggles with his shooting touch (just a 53% free throw shooter), and he had more than two turnovers for every assist. ...He does rebound and block shots at a high level. He has supposedly shown in individual workouts that he has a face-up game. ...Orton is a native of Oklahoma. By all accounts - he is a good kid. He averaged just 3.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocks for Kentucky in his one-and-done season. ...Orton has a history of being injured as well. In high school he had a knee ligament injury, and a broken wrist. ...Played in the 2009 Jordan Brand Classic.

Where do I expect Orton to be taken? Somewhere around 22nd.

Our best advice: In 2002 - the 22nd pick was Casey Jacobson. We said - "take Carlos Boozer".

Our worst advice: In 2005 - the 22nd pick was Jarrett Jack. We said - "take Johan Petro".
